Founder Michael Barchalk has nursed a passion for woodworking since his education at the Columbus College of Art and Design, where he received his BFA in Industrial Design and Arts. . Working in the college woodshop enabled Michael to continue developing his meticulous craftsmanship skill, breadth of knowledge about woodworking techniques and, passion for design. Chalkcraft produces finely finished cabinetry, turnings, furniture pieces, and traditional as well as modern wooden toys. No matter what the demand, Barchalk has been able to design both from a traditional and modern standpoint with the customer's aesthetic in mind.
